The Cactus Combat Match League in conjunction with the Arizona State Rifle and Pistol Association and the National Rifle Association, is offering the NRA Personal Protection Program/Arizona Firearm Safety Training Course necessary for a Concealed Carry Weapons permit. This course addresses firearms safety and self-defense for individuals and families who want to know more about protecting themselves and their loved ones. Each of us are concerned about our personal rights and safety. This class is well suited for both the novice and veteran firearms handler when it comes to understanding how and when to use a firearm safely and lawfully. If you are not familiar with firearms, or the law, and feel you need to know more, this is the place to start. ABOUT THE CLASS The class consists of eight hours of training, including classroom training and a range session. Classes are held throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area. Instructors address many topics and prepare the students for real life situations. Professional training aids are used throughout the course to enhance the students' understanding and comprehension. Each student will be supplied with instructional materials that make excellent reference and refresher material. Shooting instruction includes the firing of live ammunition in a practice session under the supervision of NRA Certified Instructors. Students are to bring their own firearms and factory ammunition.
